According to a quarterly report from FilmL.A., on-location filming in the Greater Los Angeles area is up 2.4 percent in the first quarter of 2018. The report adds that on-location feature production is up 11.7 percent, its first double digit bump since 2015. FilmL.A. president Paul Audley says, "It is exciting to see increases in high job producing categories in film and television production. The California Tax Credit program is sustaining the industry in our region and demonstrates how critical it is for a continuation of the program.” http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/thr/television/~3/Bg-EPMBiLbI/film-production-los-angeles-up-12-percent-early-2018-1103834 http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit Entertainment using http://wochit.com

Guateque. Música Española, Éxitos de ayer de hoy y Siempre.

Television Serves its Community” is a 1960 educational documentary revealing how television programs are prepared for transmission to the homes of a community. It follows three programs at KTLA in Los Angeles as they are planned, rehearsed, and televised. In addition to showing how television programs are prepared for transmission to the homes of a community, it also shows the use of live cameras, film, magnetic tape, and remote pick-ups from trucks and helicopters. At mark 00:45 it is explained how planning for live musical performance begins nearly a week in advance with a series of meetings before writers go to work on a script and a director plans the actual performance. We watch advertising executives at mark 02:09 discuss which sponsors to use, and at mark 2:45 learn about the use of remote broadcasting trucks used to cover events such as live holiday parades as crews prepare cameras and confirm routes. Sunday news roundup programs are featured starting at mark 03:15 as a news director and his staff go over local and national events, and we learn how some events are covered via a special “telecopter” — or news helicopter — shown at mark 03:43. The film continues featuring scenes from the rehearsal of the dance show (including a live sausage commercial at mark 06:45), additional preparation for the parade, and the news broadcast as learn more about the role of a cameraman in television broadcasts. Polka dancers rush the stage at mark 07:50 for their practice performance, news footage is readied starting at mark 09:13 (while the news chopper takes to the air at mark 10:00), and “Polka Parade” opens at mark 11:25 while we learn how the live program is sent to a transmitter that then broadcasts it to your home. The frenetic pace ends at mark 13:22 as we see shots of the highly anticipated Rose Parade a closing scene of a gigantic clown float making its way down the street. We encourage viewers to add comments and, especially, to provide additional information about our videos by adding a comment! See something interesting? Tell people what it is and what they can see by writing something for example: "01:00:12:00 -- President Roosevelt is seen meeting with Winston Churchill at the Quebec Conference." Entirely film backed, this material is available for licensing in 24p HD, 2k and 4k. For more information visit http://www.PeriscopeFilm.com

A look back at the 70 years of KTLA Television Channel 5 in Los Angeles, and specifically news reporters Stan Chambers, Larry McCormick and Hal Fishman. ABOUT KTLA: KTLA, channel 5, is a CW-affiliated television station located in Los Angeles, California, United States. The station is owned by the Tribune Broadcasting subsidiary of Tribune Media. KTLA maintains studio facilities located at the Sunset Bronson Studios on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, and its transmitter is located atop Mount Wilson. KTLA was the first commercially licensed television station in the western United States, having begun operations in 1947. Although not as widespread in national carriage as its Chicago sister station WGN-TV, KTLA is available as a superstation throughout North America via Dish Network (available only to grandfathered subscribers that had purchased its a la carte superstation tier before Dish halted sales of the package to new subscribers in September 2013), as well as on cable providers in select cities within the southwestern United States and throughout Canada. © 2017 KTLA (http://www.ktla.com/) Posted for entertainment and educational purposes only. Full post here: http://invisiblepeople.tv/blog/2013/08/my-story/ Back years ago when I worked for Los Angeles Dream Center producing their weekly television show, I was asked to produce my own story. Although this is my story, in many ways it's my story spun for a hidden agenda. This 'testimony package' was produced to raise money to purchase more buses. Please note, I am not saying that's a bad thing. Nonprofits have to raise money to fuel impact of their mission. My point is simply that more often than not, nonprofits use media to raise money or some other agenda, and the story itself may not actually be authentic. Please also note I was the producer. I pride myself on how well it was produced to tell a compelling story for the hidden agenda of buying buses. At the time, the broadcasting network had these insane rules about length of time a show could make an 'appeal'. All of the TV ministries played games attempting to trick the network's "bean counters" in the hopes of getting more donations. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes it didn't. I actually became very good spinning stories around a hidden agenda. My story as an example. If I didn't tell you it was produced to raise money for buses you would have never known, but now that I have told you, you'll see the bus story line a few times and images of buses throughout. Again, story manipulation is not bad if done with integrity, and most every business and nonprofit spins stories to fit their needs. This video, however, is at the foundation of why I work very hard so that every story on Invisible People is real and authentic. I do love seeing my father in this video, and seeing the Dream Center and Pastor Matthew as they were back in the day. In the upcoming feature film about my work I share how the Dream Center saved my life. Over the last 15 years, and after working in full time ministry for much of that time, my views on church have greatly changed, but I still believe the Dream Center model is still a huge step in the right direction ________________________________________________ Subscribe here: https://www.youtube.com/c/invisiblepeople?sub_confirmation=1 Invisible People’s website: http://invisiblepeople.tv Support Invisible People: https://invisiblepeople.tv/donate On Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/invisiblepeople Invisible People’s Social Media: https://www.youtube.com/invisiblepeople https://twitter.com/invisiblepeople https://www.instagram.com/invisiblepeople https://www.facebook.com/invisiblepeopletv Mark Horvath’s Twitter: https://twitter.com/hardlynormal Invisible People is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the way we think about people experiencing homelessness.

A look back at the 70 years of KTLA Television Channel 5 in Los Angeles.
